Well, after a two-week holiday hiatus, I went back to work on the 6th of January, also referred to by yours truly as the month of Mondays; cue in the Boomtown Rats.
In my fourth year with my current
employer, I must admit, I have a great gig. I primarily work from home, have a
synergistic relationship with my boss, and genuinely enjoy what I do for a
living.
The only way it could be any
better is if when sipping my morning coffee, I was looking out at beach sand rather
than snow.
As I sit and sip my morning caffeinated
concoction, I am excited that I am really looking forward to this new year.
My travel buddy hubby and I booked a bucket list trip to celebrate my milestone birthday in April (his is in July and still in the planning stages). I don’t know about you but there is something really special about looking forward to a new destination and another passport stamp.
This one in particular, was a
really big decision for me. It was the only destination I recall my mother mentioning
that she always wanted to go. So, I’m going.
Flight is just under six hours
and takes off in 89 days. It’s a Sunday departure, so only thirty-three more
Mondays until we leave.
Twenty-four of those account of every
single day left in January!
