It is hard to believe that another challenging April A-Z year has come and gone.
Overall, I faired better than most years staying on my target of posting daily. But when I returned from Bahamas, I became terribly ill and had to play catch up. Still not 100% I feel my lack of effort really showed in my last eight or ten offerings.
Not to throw the baby out with bath water, I feel that I was the most mentally prepared to take part since about 2018. Year over year saw a lack of enthusiasm on my part and I almost quit writing in 2021 and came close to deleting this electronic journal.
That year I only posted a mere 31 offerings, with 26 of those being from my A-Z archives (so no new material in April). With nothing from the end of April to my year in review on New Years Eve.
That was the year I left my job and took 3 months off to recalibrate my career goals and take care of my husband as he recovered from life altering surgery.
Not to focus on the negative of how I got to today, rather I look forward to what the rest of 2026 has to offer.
The fact that we bought a brand-new king-sized bed for the cottage means my summer zzz’s will be much more comfortable; not just for me but especially for our pups.
